SREEMOYEE THAPA DASGUPTA
Sreemoyee Thapa is not just an author—she’s a dream-weaver, an educator, and a mother whose passion for children’s growth shines through every page she writes. Her debut book, I AM ON THE MOON, was born from a vivid dream and a powerful vision—a future where every child dares to believe in the impossible.
As a full-time mother to her spirited four-year-old son, Sreemoyee’s days are filled with storytelling, laughter, curiosity, and adventure—many of which find their way into her writing. Her inspiration for this book stems from a dream she once had: a world where every household sends a child to the Moon, not just physically, but emotionally and imaginatively.
🎓 A Background Rooted in Learning & Empowerment
Sreemoyee began her career at a small NGO focused on the empowerment of women and children, where she discovered her deep-rooted passion for child welfare. She holds a Chartered Marketing degree from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, London, and a Business degree from the University of Wales. Her love for teaching has taken her across the globe—from India and London to Ghana, where she lectured university students and contributed to academic journals.
🎨 A Creative Soul Beyond Books
Beyond her work in education and writing, Sreemoyee is a woman of many talents:
A trained Kathak dancer
An avid painter
A passionate sitar player
And a dedicated marathon runner
Every aspect of her artistic and athletic life fuels her storytelling, helping her connect with children in meaningful and imaginative ways.
